TCF’s Board of Directors is a group of dedicated volunteers charged with providing leadership and governance to ensure TCF’s long term viability and success. Our Board members take active roles in a variety of areas, including fiscal management, fundraising, programming, community outreach/relations, and much more, to further TCF's mission and vision. TCF is grateful and honored to have such qualified and dedicated Board members.
Rajashree Karwa - President
Rajashree's career includes over 15 years of technology leadership in the financial, food and media-entertainment industries. She has owned businesses as well worked in startup and large corporate environments. Rajashree holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Pune University, India.
Rajashree believes education is a foundation for a healthy person and society. This has lead her to be a lifelong advocate for youth education. She supports several educational non profits within the US and abroad. After having her twins, Rajashree joined Tahoe’s Connections for Families and realized the impact parent education has on the development of a child and the community at large. With her role on the board, Rajashree hopes to help the Tahoe community continue to benefit from a resource like TCF.

Shannon Hameister - Secretary
Shannon has a Bachelors of Arts in history from the University of California at Santa Barbara. After working in branding and marketing for Proctor and Gamble in Southern California, she followed her passion for education and became a teacher. Teaching fourth grade in Oceanside, California was truly a dream realized. While teaching, Shannon also worked with the Quantum Learning Network in conducting professional development and brain based learning opportunities for teachers. In addition, Shannon worked as a California State University Super Mentor, developing curriculum and best learning practices for futures teachers.
Shannon and her husband, Kevin, moved to Incline Village in 2012 to pursue their love of the outdoors and the mountains. In 2015, after having twins, she became a member of TCF, realizing its unique value to her family. Shannon become a board member in November of 2017.
Tony Lillios - Treasurer
Tony is a developmental Integral Coach bringing forth his years of experience as an adventurer, endurance athlete and a serial entrepreneur, most notably founding Speck, the mobile case company. He has a deep interest in development at all levels and ages from 1-101. He has two young children, Iva and Alex, that have been greatly enriched through the community and services at TCF.
Tony moved to Incline in 2010 from the Bay Area and has thrived raising his young family here. He and his family love to take advantage of the easy access to the diverse and rich natural experiences we have in our backyard across the range of seasons. In joining the board, Tony hopes to work toward expanding the reach and impact of TCF.

Mari Harris
Mari graduated from University of California, Berkeley in 2007 with a degree in Fine Arts. Since then, she has worked as a marketing designer, a storyboard artist, and an infographic designer at technology startups and architecture firms in San Francisco. She specializes in visual learning - creating educational animation that pairs information with entertainment. Since moving to Tahoe, Mari has continued to work as a graphic designer and brand developer.
Mari's husband, Nick, grew up in Incline and the couple returned in 2012 to start a family closer to grandparents. They have two young children, River and Supernova, who have been attending TCF since they were only a few weeks old. Mari and Nick regularly attend TCF parenting classes together, where they have formed a unified parenting strategy and found much-needed sanity!
