Kaylie received her B.A. in Public Relations with a focus in Sociology from Kansas State University. She is passionate about empowerment and inclusivity, which is what drew her to TCF as an AmeriCorps volunteer in 2011-2012. She also served as a volunteer on the Rebranding Team and TCF Carnival after her AmeriCorps term ended and is excited to be back at TCF as the Support Manager. She truly believes in the mission of TCF and is inspired everyday watching how the program teaches parents how to raise healthy, happy, empowered kids.
Outside of work, Kaylie loves to travel to new places, try her hand at improv and has a penchant for clearance shopping!

Heather grew up in the bay area and went to Cal Poly State University where she received a bachelor of science in Child Development and a minor in Psychology. After university, Heather set out to teach and travel the world for the next 8 years. She started in Thailand and received her TEFL certificate, next Guatemala, and finally lived the past 6 years in Mexico on the island of Isla Mujeres. Her jobs consisted of teaching bilingual preschool, managing a teacher volunteer program, while being a destination wedding coordinator on the side! In December, she moved back to California to take a break from the Caribbean and do a snowboarding season where she fell in love with Tahoe. Shortly after she found the great opportunity of working at Tahoe’s Connection for Families.
In June of 2018 Heather started as Program Director as well as runs the Spanish Program at Tahoe’s Connection for Families. She is using her experiences abroad to create a holistic cultural experience that embraces all families. She is a strong believer in connecting communities while bridging culture and language gaps. In her spare time you will find her playing on the lake, hiking and enjoying the Tahoe lifestyle.
